Thanks for visiting the Junction submissions page. We know that writing a pitch isn’t easy, but rest assured, we want to hear from you whether you’re a seasoned journalist or enthusiastic beginner, if you have a fully formed piece or just a good idea. Go for it!
Junction covers Eastern Vermont and Western New Hampshire with a focus on the Upper Valley. Pitches and submissions should fit into one or more of our themed areas of interest: Arts & Culture, Food & Farm, People, or Wild. Pitches can be emailed to junctionmag@gmail.com, with the category of your submission in the email subject line. You can also submit pitches, or simply a suggestion of a story you'd like to see, by using this form.
Submissions are published at the discretion of the editorial board. While Junction enthusiastically reports on new or extant businesses that contribute to life in the Upper Valley, we do not accept submissions that serve as advertorial or promotional content. Pitches from business owners about their own businesses will not be accepted.
Junction is a volunteer-operated publication; we are unable to compensate contributors financially. Contributors retain copyright to their work.
Submissions should be sent in Word or Google Doc format. Photos should be JPEG or PNG, with a maximum size of 1024 x 768 pixels at 72 dpi.
Contributors must disclose any conflicts of interest, and provide their own fact-checking, with sources. Contributors are responsible for securing rights and permissions for photographs, as applicable.
